PATHFINDER WRATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS CONSOLE COMMANDS MODS
This is one of the most useful mods to use cheats in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Best Mods & Cheats for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteousīest Mods & Cheats for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Mythic Cheat Menu Lite. After struggling I've got an idea that all of it happened after Steam has downloaded something related to the game. But It was not for too long and I had to reinstall it again. I then tried to reinstall the game and after that everything was OK. And recently the derictory removal method stopped working. After that it happend a few times but I knew what to do.

I started Steam from terminal to see its log and the log contained " double free or corruption" message (sometimes there were a different one like free(): invalid size). StoryĪ few weeks ago the game stopped running. After starting the game I get memory related errors ( double free or corruption, free(): invalid size, munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer). It seems to me that proton updates (experimental) and game patches corrupt files of the game. Probably it's not related to Proton but Steam itself. No idea why it does that and what it does there. I have to alt-tab out.Īfterwards I have to click the "Stop" in Steam or kill itĪfter stopping it, the Steam often validates 150/210 MB. I experience two behaviors in that case:Ī) It drops to the desktop but the process is still running.ī) The click is registered, the engine seems to shut down, but I stay on the game screen and can do nothing. No idea why, but when you click "Return to desktop", the game continues to run. Then I have to tab out again and kill the game since I can do nothing in it anymore. Would it be better to open new issues?Īlt-Tabbing out and back to game again sometimes leads to a black screen. I am giving a short description here, since I am not sure how this is handled here. BUT there are still a few problems left, albeit more minor. I think, the crash issue has been addressed, no issues since the fix. I'll try creating a proton log file from when this loading bug occurs and add that at a later point. Then again, the loading works just fine using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, which certainly doesn't change what files the game wants to load or play. Since it happens during loading, and since it ALWAYS happens at the same percentage, I can only suspect that it might be some kind of file that it tries to load on some maps, or that it tries to play some certain audio or video files, etc. Obviously, the first problem is the one that should actually be tackled as solving that makes the workaround leading to problem two not required any more. This seems to be the case for the Drezen battle. If you happen to hit both bugs at once (guaranteed freeze for normal Proton usage + guaranteed unplayable with WINED3D), it will become impossible to proceed. Drezen), the game becomes fully unplayable (not even 1 fps, it will simply refuse to render anything anymore) and something causes the game to basically occupy all CPU cores at 100% making it very difficult to even shut it down manually. (only when using WINED3D mode) In very large maps with lots of entities (again, e.g. However, using the WINED3D mode, besides seriously impacting graphics and performance, leads to another bug:Ģ.

Drezen battle map happens at 88%) the loading just freezes. However, sometimes when loading the next map (and for some maps, this is guaranteed to happen, e.g. Using Proton normally (no WINED3D options, etc.), the game runs fine for the most part. that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.ġ.that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.Have yet to meet anyone using Proton who can proceed past the Drezen battle.

Proton version: Every version is affected (tried current, experimental, etc.)ĭon't think that that any of these matter, though, as the bug(s) seem to affect everyone using Proton.Name of the game with compatibility issues: Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous.
